Schwerpunkt: Marine conservation in action Sea Shepherd is an international, non-profit organization dedicated to protecting biodiversity and marine ecosystems. We use innovative Direct Action tactics to investigate, document, and intervene when necessary to stop illegal activities at sea and on land. A key focus of our international campaigning work is the fight against illegal, unregulated and undocumented (IUU) fishing, which has become one of the biggest threats to the biodiversity of our seas. Through our work, we end poaching, ensure that conservation laws are respected, and prevent the destruction and exploitation of marine habitats. Our goal is to protect and preserve our oceans for future generations. We are resolute in our actions and take bold action when marine animals are in need. Our focus is not on human interests, but on our clients: Whales, dolphins, seals, sharks, seabirds, sea turtles, fish and all other marine life and their habitats. However, despite all claims, we do not break laws, we uphold them! Our primary mandate is to enforce laws outlined in the United Nations World Charter for Nature.
